In seasons 2 and 3,the opening credits begin with a commentary, which explains that Rabb was originally an F-14 Tomcat pilot, and crashed during heavy seas, and after being diagnosed with night blindness, he joined JAG. The very first time this commentary is given JAG - Avvocati in divisa: We the People (1997) which was the first episode of season 2, Major MacKenzie is not mentioned.
