Although Alex Trebek has hosted imaginary rounds of Jeopardy! (1984) in films before, this appearance was filmed when he knew it was unlikely that he would live to see the result. He died in November of 2020, which was nine months before the film was released and ten days after taping what he did not know would be his final episode of the show.
