Rory Calhoun was considered for the lead in "A Fistfull of Dollars" before Clint Eastwood was cast. Oddly enough, Calhoun spoke a line of dialogue to Robert Mitchum in the 1954 film, "River of No Return" that goes, "A fistful of money in the hand is as good as a fistful of wheat in the ground."
