Michael Troughton, son of Patrick Troughton and brother of David Troughton, makes his first appearance in Doctor Who and has a key role. Patrick played the Second Doctor in the classic series of Doctor Who (1963) (1966-69, plus additional appearances through 1985), and David has played various roles in both the classic series and the revival.
