Toward the end of the film, Scott, Kate and Geeta make their way to the roof of The Olympus for extraction, only to find that Peters has seemingly abandoned them in the helicopter. All seems lost until Peters rises back up into view to save them. The entire scene appears to directly homage Bishop's supposed abandonment of Ripley and Newt toward the end of Aliens before he too returns to save them.
