Irving Berlin borrowed from himself for the song "Counting Your Blessings," the melody of the bridge identical to the one he used in the song "Happy Holidays/(Come to) Holiday Inn" in Holiday Inn (1942). The lyric is completely different, however. In the earlier film, it reads "If you can't find somebody who would set your heart awhirl, get in your car and motor to the home of boy meets girl." For "Counting Your Blessings," the lyric was changed to "I think about a nursery and I picture curly heads, and one by one I count them as they slumber in their beds."
