One of two films released in the same year which show the parents of a multi-billionaire superhero being murdered. In this movie, Tony Stark's parents are murdered in a flashback. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) had a scene where the parents of Bruce Wayne are murdered. Bruce Wayne and Tony Stark share a lot of common characteristics. Both are extremely intelligent superheroes with no superhuman powers other than their gadgets and suits. Tony Stark is the CEO of Stark Industries (founded by his father), whereas Bruce Wayne is the CEO of Wayne Corp (founded by his merchant ancestors).
