The being or one of the creatures that confronts Roland and Jake in the forest about/upon the ruins of the Pennywise Amusement Park has the apparent ability to disguise its appearance by projecting some kind of anthropomorphic hallucination into the minds of its prey, similar to what Pennywise the Clown (from "It") can do, or for that matter, what Pennywise as a being represents (as the clown is not It's truest form).
