There are now 12 Star Wars films. The only two characters to now appear in all but one film are R2-D2 and C-3PO. Of the other main characters, Anakin/Vader and Chewbacca appear in eight films, Obi-wan appears in seven, Leia and Yoda appear in six, Luke and Han appear in five.
