When Bough starts up the portable computer, it shows some computer code (written in C) that belongs to a simple random number generator. Fittingly, the conio.h header file is included, which enables console input/output on MS-DOS computers. This shows that the producers were aware of what sort of program code is appropriate for a vintage, greenish CRT monitor.
