This movie, and in particular the 1965 novel, of which this movie is an adaptation, bares some similarities to the 1951 C.S. Lewis fantasy novel Le Cronache Di Narnia - Il Principe Caspian (2008): Paul Atreides and Caspian are Princes and both of their fathers were murdered. Paul Atreides and Caspian flee when Baron Harkonnen and King Miraz seeks to destroy them. Paul Atreides and Caspian encounter natives that have gone into hiding (The Fremen and the creatures of Old Narnia). The prophecy that Paul will come to Arrakis and free the Fremen from the Harkonnen and the Emperor's rule (Glenstorm tells Caspian of the prophecy that he will defeat Miraz and take his rightful place as Narnia's true King). Paul becomes the new Emperor of the universe after he kills Feyd in a duel to the death (Caspian becomes King of Narnia after Miraz is killed by Peter in a duel to the death).
