A sequence where Mystique returns to the X-Mansion following Xavier contacting her telepathically in the Paris airport was filmed, but cut. In this sequence, Wolverine would explain the origin of the Sentinels and the Future War, and Mystique would have a romantic encounter with Beast, carrying over on a subplot from X-Men - L'inizio (2011). These scenes were cut for runtime purposes, but have been partially restored in the Extended Edition (Rogue Cut).
