During season 1, Armond describes the guests as lotus eaters, based on the Ancient Greek mythology of people who eat the addictive lotus flower and ignore real world issues in favor of luxurious apathy. One of the guests was played by Alexandra Daddario, who also inadvertently becomes a lotus eater in Percy Jackson e gli dei dell'Olimpo - Il ladro di fulmini (2010).
