In one episode of Quell'uragano di papà (1991), Randy (Jonathan Taylor Thomas) says that he always expected his dad to be called a king by everyone while playing with a lion cub doll who resembles Simba. Thomas was the voice of young Simba in Il Re Leone (1994). In a Halloween episode of the same series, the Taylor home is greeted by two trick or treaters dressed as Buzz Lightyear and Simba, respectively. Randy gives one piece of candy to the former and seven pieces of candy to the trick or treater dressed as latter.
