During the making of this film, Dev Anand invited his elder brother Chetan Anand to direct a film for Navketan after 20 years, to celebrate 25th silver jubilee year for nevketan. The film was supposed to be a big budget costume drama film with Dev and Hema Malini. But after Ishk Ishk Ishk, that film was shelved instead 3 quickies films were made Chetan's Janemaan, Dev's Des Pardes and Vijay's Bullet and every film with diffirent crews, heroine, music composer, cinematographer. Only Dev Anand was the common hero in all 3 films and succeded.
