The locations of Cleopatra's tomb, of her palace, and many other features of ancient Alexandria are unknown. On July 21, AD 365, an earthquake struck in Greece that caused a tsunami that wiped out Alexandria. Much of the city slipped beneath the water, where it remains today. Although it is a restricted diving area, many visits have been paid to what is left of the ruins. It is believed that Cleopatra's palace and tomb are among them.
