The DC Comics superhero Black Canary is adapted into a total of five different characters in this series - Sara Lance (as "The Canary", an original character inspired by), her sister Dinah "Laurel" Lance, her mother Dinah Lance, police officer Dinah Drake, and Dinah "Laurel" Lance of Earth-2. Characters Zoe Ramirez and Evelyn Sharp also take on the "Canary" mantle.
