The studio overestimated the film's merchantability and licensed characters to appear on plastic and porcelain dolls and clothing, playsets and vehicles, jewelry, plastic figurines, toy telephones, an inflatable bed, a card game, a magic slate, a button maker, tins, sticker albums, coloring books, comic books, storybooks, poster books, souvenir programs, tote bags, Halloween costumes, notepads, stationery, postcards, posters, drinking glasses, mugs, plastic cups, collector plates, super straws, Viewmaster reels, novelty license plates, a telephone holder, puzzles, radios and microphones, record players, a gumball bank, rubber stamps, growth charts, embroidery kits, a line of Sears clothing, and much more. Due to the market oversaturation, it's not rare to find the tie-in merchandise still sealed in the original packaging.
