Unlike any of the other planets featured in the Alien films, Planet 4 where the story primarily takes place is apparently similar to Earth. All the other planets featured in the Alien films aside from Earth (LV-426, Fiorina 'Fury' 161, LV-223) are depicted as either primordial, inhospitable or miserable barren rocks in space.
