Hart Bochner, who plays Harry Ellis, is the son of actor Lloyd Bochner, who co-starred with Frank Sinatra in Inchiesta pericolosa (1968), based on the novel by author Roderick Thorp. This film is based on Thorp's novel "Nothing Lasts Forever", the sequel to "The Detective." Because he had starred in the big-screen adaptation of Inchiesta pericolosa (1968), Frank Sinatra may have been offered the role in its sequel but at the age of 73, he may have had to turn it down.
