In season 2, episode 5, Stranger Things: Chapter Five: Dig Dug (2017), there is a moment when Joyce (Winona Ryder) and Bob (Sean Astin) rescue Hopper (David Harbour) from the tunnels, and just as they leave, Hopper remembers his hat and grabs it. This is a nod to the classic Indiana Jones films (Indiana Jones e il tempio maledetto (1984)) where Indiana always grabs his hat and never leaves it behind.
