Throughout the movie (and both cuts of Justice League) Wayne Manor is shown in present times to be a burned-out wreck. In the original plans for the Justice League sequels and the spin-offs involving Ben Affleck's Batman, it would have been eventually been revealed that the Joker is responsible for destroying Wayne Manor as well as the death of Robin, presumably with the help of Harley Quinn.
