Despite towering over Godzilla on the movie poster, Mechagodzilla never appears in the film in his full form, only as a head. The rest of his design was revealed to the audience through the movie's concept art and a special Mechagodzilla toy made by the company Bandai. According to the concept art, he would have had the ability to shape-shift into a multitude of weaponized forms and even split open his head to reveal a blaster.
