In the interview book This Is Orson Welles with Peter Bogdanovich and Orson Welles, Bogdanovich informs Welles that Steven Spielberg (then a young director) bought the Rosebud Sled from Citizen Kane, and Orson, confused, confessed to Peter that he thought they burned the sled.
