Catherine O'Hara was going to join the cast for the 1981-1982 season, but she backed out after Michael O'Donoghue screamed at the cast and crew during a meeting. She recommended Robin Duke, her co-star on Second City TV (1976), to replace her. Robin Duke did appear on the show for a couple of seasons and was part of the early 80s Joe Piscipo/Eddie Murphy cast.
