Jeff Davis credited Buffy l'ammazzavampiri (1997) as a source of inspiration to this series, a reason Sarah Michelle Gellar joined the spin-off Wolf Pack (2023) as star and executive producer. Bianca Lawson (Marin Morrell) portrayed Kenda, another vampire slayer on that show.
