Filming of the end of final battle scene between Superman and Zod occurred in Union Station, South Canal Street, Chicago. Lois Lane (Amy Adams) stood on the stairs down from the street level. 26 years earlier Kevin Costner (Jonathan Kent) as Eliot Ness filmed his final shoot out scene on the same stairs in "The Untouchables."
