The 'Friday the 13th' movies didn't actually go by their real titles during production, with this one called "Repetition" (a self-deprecating in-joke on the part of the producer). The actors usually figured this out during the casting process, but some of 'A New Beginning's' cast hadn't put it together until their first day on set, when stuntman Tom Morga walked by in full Jason Voorhees costume.
