The character name "Erin Gilbert" is a combination of the names of two real-life people played by Julia Roberts. "Erin" is a reference to Roberts' award-winning turn as Erin Brockovich - Forte come la verità (2000), while the last name "Gilbert" refers to author Elizabeth Gilbert, whom Roberts played in Mangia prega ama (2010).
