During the film's climax, Magneto (Michael Fassbender) weaves rebar throughout Wolverine (Hugh Jackman)'s body in order to control and throw him. The image is very reminiscent of the "Fatal Attractions" storyline final battle (X-Men Vol 2 #25, October 1993). In the comic, Magneto levitates Wolverine and rips the adamantium from his bones, nearly killing him.
