With Joe Ranft having passed away in 2005 this makes WALL·E (2008) Andrew Stanton's first directorial effort to not have any characters voiced by him. Additionally this film of Pixar's is also Stanton's first directorial effort to not star any actors who'd been in Ecco il film dei Muppet (1979) or L'era glaciale (2002).
