Jerrod's career and place of employment is never mentioned. It is referenced by Bobby in the premiere episode in 1st season that Jerrod did attend business school. His girlfriend Maxine is a mental health counselor / social worker with her Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's degree. Jerrod's brother Bobby worked at Arby's and later became the maintenance man in his apartment building. Their father Joe was a blue collar worker (truck driver) and their mother Cynthia was presumably a housewife.
