For a moment Piccolo breaks the fourth wall when he fights for the first time against Gamma 2, everytime 2 punched him, onomatopeias appeared at the background. Although it is later revealed that the Gammas can project these things, this is a little nod to the first volumes of the original manga when for instances the characters used to break the fourth wall and interact with the readers and even pretending to speak to Toriyama.
