Film critic Roger Ebert famously wrote about the Licker: "The vast Umbrella Corporation [..] can turn a little DNA into a monster with a 9-foot tongue. Reminds me of the young man from Kent. [..] Eventually its tongue is nailed to the floor of a train car and it is dragged behind it on the third rail. I hate it when that happens."
