Each character in the series has had their own musical number except Lily (Alyson Hannigan). Ted (Josh Radnor) had his own musical number called "Super Date" in the episode How I met your mother: Of Course (2010). Barney (Neil Patrick Harris) has his own musical number called "Nothing Suits Me Like a Suit" in the episode How I met your mother: Girls vs. Suits (2010). Robin (Cobie Smulders) had her own musical number (and many others) called "Let's Go To The Mall" in the episode How I met your mother: Slap Bet (2006) and Marshall (Jason Segel) has his own musical number called "Marshall vs. the Machines" (2010) and that leaves Lily without ever having her own musical number. This is down to actress Alyson Hannigan (Lily) dislike of singing.
