In each of the telephone conversations between Bigfoot and Doc, their behavior mirrors each other, such as when Doc is smoking a joint while Bigfoot drinks whiskey, and when both men sit talking to each other while their lovers walk in and out of the frame. This behavior reaches its apex in their final scene together, when Bigfoot and Doc literally speak the same words simultaneously. Furthermore, both men share the same sea foam green telephone.
