Adam Brody and D.J. Cotrona, who play the superhero forms of Freddy and Pedro, were previously selected to star in George Miller's ill-fated "Justice League: Mortal" movie in 2007 (not to be confused with Justice League (2017)), with Brody as the Flash and Cotrona as Superman.
