Sporadicly through out the series Old Norse (the language of 9th century Scandinavia) is spoken. When asked, linguists determined that Gustaf Skarsgård and Donal Logue speaks the Old Norse dialog the best, while Katheryn Winnick and Lucy Martin speaks it the worst.
