(at around 2h 15 mins) There is a meta joke towards the conclusion. In the film, Ozymandias chides Nite Owl II, saying, "Dan, I'm not a comic book villain." Whereas in the comic book he says that he is not a film villain, specifically, "Dan, I'm not a Republic serial villain."
