The 1971 champions, Churchill College, Cambridge, revealed on the 'Reunited' series that both they and their opponents, Peterhouse College, Cambridge, had been photographed being presented with the trophy before the Grand Final was played. This was apparently because the photographer had another engagement and therefore couldn't stay to the end of the show and Granada hadn't seen fit to pay him extra to stay.
