Johnny Depp's first movie role was in Nightmare - Dal profondo della notte (1984), in which the killer Freddy Krueger wore gloves fitted with blades. Additionally, Winona Ryder also previously auditioned for the role of Kristen in Nightmare 3 - I guerrieri del sogno (1987), and was later considered for the role of Julie in Nightmare - Nuovo incubo (1994). The roles would eventually go to Patricia Arquette and Tracy Middendorf, respectively.
