Director Andy Muschietti also revealed in an interview that a Freddy Krueger form was considered as a fear for one of the Losers Club members and one Pennywise would assume. However, it was ultimately scrapped out of not feeling right and wanting stick to the trauma and childhood fears without straying too meta.
