Recurring theme of being unable to let go: Bruno disappeared the night of Mirabel's failed ceremony, which as with all Madrigal family members would have been when she was five. She is fifteen now, making it ten years since anyone has seen him (with one possible exception).Senora Pezmuerto has apparently been unable to let go of the death of her goldfish, or its actual corpse, the entire time. This even though goldfish are as a species extremely short-lived and it would have died long ago whether or not *anyone* had said anything.
