Beat out Bolt - Un eroe a quattro zampe (2008) and Kung Fu Panda (2008) at the 81st Academy Awards for best animated feature, and became the fourth Pixar movie to win it. The first was Alla ricerca di Nemo (2003), the second was Gli Incredibili - Una 'normale' famiglia di supereroi (2004), and the third was Ratatouille (2007). Coincidentally, Finding Nemo and WALL·E are by the same director, Andrew Stanton and composed by the same composer, Thomas Newman. Additionally, The Incredibles and Ratatouille are both directed by Brad Bird and composed by Michael Giacchino.
