The American Christmas celebration is based on the Dutch tradition of Saint Nicholas and Black Pete. This is probably the reason there is a Dutch girl seen in the movie performing the song "Sinterklaas Kapoentje" which is an actual song from the tradition of Saint Nicholas and Black Pete. The song "Sinterklaas Kapoentje" is the second oldest popular song based on the tradition of Saint Nicholas and Black Pete.
