In the novel, which wasn't used in the movie, but was used in Dune - Il destino dell'universo (2000), Jessica is revealed as Baron Harkonnen's daughter. In the movie and in the novel, Jessica and Baron Harkonnen have red hair. If this twist was in the movie, Jessica and Baron Harkonnen's hair color would have been a strong foreshadowing of that revelation.
