Manoj Kumar heard from his driver that Chandra was making a film titled " Down". Fearing no one in India would really understand the title, Manoj suggested Chandra call the film " Mr Don.". Chandra explained that " Don" meant gentleman in Spanish. So it would be impossible to called the film " Mr.Don".
