Bill Cosby left the show as a cast member officially after season 2, although he was billed as a featured performer only in season 1. Cosby made occasional return appearances during the show's second season, mostly in new segments before leaving the show officially in 1973. He was, however, billed as a cast member throughout the show's entire run.
