Almost the entire film was shot in the UK. Ironically the TV series that this film is based on was unknown there as it had never been shown on UK terrestrial television meaning most of the UK cast and crew in this film had ever heard of it (although the show may have been transmitted on a satellite/cable channel but certainly not until the 1990s at the very earliest).
