David Lynch's next two films; Dune (1984) and Velluto blu (1986), were produced by Dino De Laurentiis. De Laurentiis produced La zona morta (1983), which was directed by David Cronenberg. Cronenberg's next film, La mosca (1986), was produced by Mel Brooks.
